Our Mission
Harlem Girls Cheer (HGC) seeks to empower the next generation of female leaders by using the platform of competitive cheer to enhance the lives of girls and young women in the communities of Harlem and the Bronx.
Founded in 2016, HGC provides a supportive environment that allows young women to build their self-esteem while simultaneously encouraging healthy behavior, teaching accountability, providing leadership opportunities and building character.
Harlem Girls Cheer believes in the unlimited power and potential of women. Through our guiding principles of teamwork, leadership, empowerment and encouragement, we are building a ladder of opportunity to help girls grow into active, confident and accomplished leaders.
